"CINEMATIC VISUALISER"
Cinematic Visualizer" is an artwork created for the artist $arthak, for his single "Naina’s Interlude." It draws direct inspiration from Wong Kar-wai’s Fallen Angels, particularly the iconic bike scene at the end.
To capture the mood and essence of the track, I used a green-toned atmosphere, an empty yet vividly illuminated tunnel, and a high-speed retro car. These elements weren’t just aesthetic choices—they were the only way to truly match the feeling of the song, blending motion, solitude, and nostalgia into a single frame.
You can see similar color tones and a sense of emptiness in my other artworks, like "China Town" and "Grandma’s Home" where I explore themes of isolation and atmosphere in different ways.*a
"BLOODSPORT VISUALIZER"
Bloodsport is a captivating artwork that visually narrates the story of a mafia figure’s day, unfolding like a cinematic sequence. The artwork captures key moments that define his journey, each scene rich with detail and intensity.
The tale starts with the mafia making an entrance in style, coming out of a dark garage as he gets out of his shiny, high-class vehicle. The shiny surface mirrors the neon light of the city, suggesting the power and money he wields.
With the background changing dynamically from towering skyscrapers to dark alleyways as he travels through various cities, symbolizing his immense power and the cutthroat world in which he moves, the perception of movement and tension increases with him navigating his way through them, always maintaining a step ahead.
Halfway through his trip, a turning point occurs—a suitcase full of money falls out of his speeding vehicle by accident. Bills spill onto the road, illuminated by headlights of oncoming cars. The scene introduces a sense of tension and uncertainty, implying either careless error or richer plot twist.
Lastly, as the sun sets, the mafia gets on a private plane, outlined against the dusk sky. The plane represents escape and luxury, further solidifying his untouchable position. Whether he is escaping a bad deal or merely going on to his next endeavor is left unknown, leaving the piece with an aura of mystery.
Bloodsport is an on-point portrayal of an underworld environment, combining action, suspense, and decadence with a very watchable plot.
